Job Title: Sales Operations Analyst 5

Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Sales Operations Analyst 5 is to act as a Complex Contract Negotiator. This involves negotiating and managing intricate, high-value professional services and managed applications services contracts. The role demands a blend of legal expertise, business acumen, and strong negotiation skills to ensure that agreements meet the needs of all parties involved while minimizing risk and ensuring compliance with the company’s business practices and policies. Key responsibilities include:

- Negotiation and Drafting of Software Agreements: Engage with customers to structure favorable terms for both the company and the client. Draft nonstandard contract terms for complex contracts, including Professional Services Contracts, Cloud Service Agreements, Partnership and Reseller Agreements.

- Financial Selling and Positioning: Collaborate with the sales team and customers to gather information for TCO/ROI analysis. Assist in preparing TCO/ROI analysis and positioning pricing with customers.

- Complex Pricing: Calculate solution pricing, reviewing pricing elements such as labor, hardware, governance, and supplemental services to achieve target pricing.

- Risk Management: Assess and manage risks associated with contracts, including financial, operational, and legal risks. Provide advice to stakeholders on potential risks and suggest modifications to protect the organization's interests.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams like Sales, Product Management, Solution Architect, and Delivery to ensure contractual terms align with product offerings, pricing models, and strategic objectives.

- Contract Management: Oversee and manage the contract lifecycle from initial drafting to negotiation and final execution.

- Internal Guidance: Provide guidance to sales on understanding contract terms, including commercial, legal, and compliance considerations.

Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- 5+ years of experience in negotiating and drafting complex technology agreements, preferably within the software, SaaS, or tech industries.
- Advanced knowledge of contract law, particularly related to software and technology contracts.
- Certifications such as Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), and Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) are preferred.
- Deep familiarity with cloud computing and enterprise software deployment.
- Familiarity with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and cloud service provider agreements.
- A Juris Doctor (JD) or an advanced degree in Business (MBA) or Contract Management is preferred.
- Proven experience with licensing, SaaS agreements, software development contracts, and IP protection.
- Strong understanding of data privacy and security regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.) as they relate to SaaS and software.

Salary Information:
The hiring range in USD for this position is from $97,500 to $199,500 per annum. Candidates may also be eligible for bonuses and equity. The company maintains broad salary ranges to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, as well as to reflect the company’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the aforementioned factors and internal peer equity.
