Job Title: 2026 2L Summer Associate
Job Responsibilities:
The 2026 2L Summer Associate position offers law students the opportunity to gain practical experience in health law by working within a leading law firm that specializes in health care organizations. Summer Associates will have the opportunity to:
- Work independently and collaboratively with attorneys across multiple office locations including Dallas, Denver, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, and Troy.
- Engage with various practice groups such as Health Economics, Health Human Resources, Health Operations, Health Regulatory, and Health Transactions.
- Assist attorneys and clients in the health care industry on a wide array of issues including but not limited to:
- Business transactions and joint ventures
- Health care regulatory issues and operational matters
- Litigation and compliance
- Health information systems
- Licensing, tax, and antitrust issues
- Managed care and reimbursement
- Medical staff relations and tax-exempt matters
- Patient care and HIPAA compliance
- Supply chain negotiations, real estate, and construction
- Labor and employment issues
- Receive real client experience and work on projects throughout the summer.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates interested in the 2L Summer Associate position must meet the following education and experience requirements:
- Be a full-time rising 2L student, or a dual degree or part-time law student graduating in 2027 or later.
- Have outstanding academic credentials, including a minimum GPA of .
- Demonstrate a dedicated interest in health law.
- Possess maturity and motivation to succeed in a legal environment.
