A law firm seeks an experienced and highly skilled senior litigation attorney to join its team. Duties:

  • Manage complex litigation cases with a focus on white-collar crimes or civil litigation.
  • Lead and coordinate billable client matters and pro bono cases.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel and represent clients in court, hearings, and arbitrations.
  • Oversee the preparation, filing, and management of legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, providing guidance on case strategies, legal research, and client communications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop and execute legal strategies.
  • Engage in legal writing, research, and analysis to support litigation efforts.
  • Participate in firm-wide initiatives and community engagement, contributing to pro bono work.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, with a preference for those who have worked in a government office or at a top-tier law firm.
  • Proven experience in handling white-collar crimes or complex civil litigation cases.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal arguments clearly and persuasively.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including managing client matters and mentoring junior staff.
  • Ability to handle high-stakes cases and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to public service and pro bono efforts, with preference for judicial clerkship experience.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic record and a commitment to continuing legal education.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in the state where the firm is located (or ability to be admitted upon hire).
  • Additional certifications or qualifications related to litigation or white-collar law are a plus.

Skills:

  • Exceptional litigation skills, including trial preparation, legal research, and courtroom experience.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Leadership and mentoring experience with junior attorneys and legal staff.
  • Effective communication and client management skills.
  • Proficiency in legal software, case management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
