A law firm seeks a motivated real estate attorney to join a dynamic Chicago office, supporting a robust commercial property practice. The successful candidate will handle a spectrum of sophisticated real estate matters—from acquisitions to construction—within a collaborative, high-energy environment.
Duties
Lead and manage complex transactions, including purchases and sales of commercial property
Conduct title and survey reviews, coordinate financing structures, and negotiate lease agreements
Advise on land use entitlements, zoning compliance, and development projects
Oversee construction-related legal issues and documentation
Partner with senior counsel and multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless client service
Requirements
4–6 years of commercial real estate transactional experience
Proven ability to shepherd deals from negotiation through closing with minimal oversight
Superior drafting and negotiation capabilities, particularly for contracts and closing documents
Comfortable working under tight timelines in a fast-paced setting
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
Education
Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school
Certifications
Active admission to the Illinois bar (or eligibility for prompt admission)
Skills
