The candidate will review potential cases and make informed decisions on whether to accept or decline representation. Will evaluate the merits of each case by conducting thorough assessments, reviewing medical records, and consulting with experts in the field. Conduct initial screenings of potential medical malpractice cases. Review and analyze client-provided information, including medical records, incident reports, and other relevant documents. Assess the legal and factual aspects of each case to determine its potential strengths and weaknesses. Identify key issues, potential causes of action, and liability concerns. Stay up to date with medical malpractice laws, regulations, and precedents. Conduct legal research to gather relevant information and precedents related to specific medical conditions, procedures, or treatments. Experience at an injury law firm, particularly Medical Malpractice preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare procedures is preferred. Admission to the Bar and an active license to practice law in the jurisdiction are essential.
