Sales and Use Tax Manager Job Opportunity at **Members Only**
**Members Only**, a full-service national accounting, advisory, and consulting firm, is seeking a State and Local Tax (SALT) Manager to join their Sales and Use (Indirect) Tax division. The Sales and Use Tax Manager will work on multiple complex tax engagements and contribute to the delivery of innovative sales and use tax planning ideas for diverse clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on complex indirect tax audits, managed audits, and recovery of tax overpayments (reverse audits)
- Prepare tax research projects for clients in various industries by analyzing a wide range of tax issues and implications
- Lead projects and a team of sales and use tax professionals
- Manage, mentor, and develop staff
- Build strong relationships with clients and expand services to existing clients
- Attract and service new clients
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA, CMI or JD
- 5+ years of state and local tax experience in a public accounting firm, tax services firm, or similar industry
- Experience with indirect (sales & use) tax compliance and consulting
Qualifications Preferred:
- Master's degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop staff
- Strong relationship management and practice development skills
- Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients
Salary Information:
- Annual Base Pay Range in California and the New York City Metropolitan Area: $125,000 to $170,000
- Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
