Job Title: Sr. Wealth Strategist
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Wealth Strategist serves as a subject matter expert and resource for Financial Advisors on issues affecting clients with varying wealth profiles. The role involves providing expert estate planning knowledge and consultation, alongside acting as the primary external sales and marketing support for Estate & Tax Planning Services. This department covers simple and complex estate planning, charitable planning, business continuation and succession planning, and personal trust planning. Specific issues addressed include strategies for asset protection, multi-generational wealth transfer, federal and state death tax minimization, wealth replacement, gifting, key-person insurance, and qualified plans. Consulting services are delivered via conference calls, Zoom, WebEx, or in-person meetings with Financial Advisors and their clients, as well as conducting client seminars and training sessions for Financial Advisors, other employees, and external centers of influence, such as attorneys and tax advisors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and presenting detailed analyses of individual clients’ estate plan situations.
- Consulting with Financial Advisors and their clients both remotely and in person.
- Coordinating with clients’ external counsel and/or tax advisors to implement appropriate solutions.
- Developing and maintaining educational materials for both clients and advisors.
- Presenting educational seminars and internal training sessions.
- Providing guidance and mentoring to Wealth Strategists.
- Occasional travel as necessary for consultations and seminars.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- A Juris Doctor degree is mandatory.
- A minimum of 8 years of estate tax planning experience is necessary.
Licenses and Credentials:
- Series 7 and 66 (or 7, 63, and 65) licenses are required within the first 6 months of employment.
- Life, Health, and Long-Term Care Insurance Licenses are also required within the first 6 months of employment.
Systems and Technology:
- Proficiency in BNA Estate & Gift Tax Planner, BNA Income Tax Planner, Number Cruncher, Zoom/WebEx, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat is required.
