Senior Associate Attorney - Family Lawyer
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with clients, establish their legal needs, provide counsel, and help them understand their legal options.
- Represent clients in court and negotiations.
- Conduct research and prepare legal documents to ensure clients receive the best and most cost-effective legal solutions.
- Advise clients regarding ongoing litigation or legal issues they might be facing or have concerns about.
- Research case details and evidence, such as police reports, DSS reports, and previously filed pleadings, and apply relevant law.
- Interpret case law and decisions from other applicable courts, analyzing factors involved in other cases.
- Develop case strategies, focusing on resolving cases early and cost-effectively for clients rather than going to trial.
- Prepare pleadings and documents, such as separation agreements, deeds, and wills.
- Appear in court to argue for a client's rights and best interests.
- Represent family law clients in mediation, hearings, and court.
- Build relationships with clients based on trust.
- Negotiate and settle cases.
- Consult with potential clients.
- Engage in business development.
- Meet billable hour requirements.
Education and Experience Information:
- Licensed in North Carolina.
- Graduation from an accredited law school.
- Excellent academic record.
- First chair trial experience.
- Family law experience of 4+ years.
Salary Information:
- Above average compensation starting at $100,000+.
- This is a salaried position.
