Job Title: Financial Services Global Structuring - Manager
Job Responsibilities:
As a Manager within the International Tax Services (ITS) Alternative Investments practice at the company, you will have the opportunity to assist multinational companies in addressing their cross-border tax needs both locally and globally. Your responsibilities will include managing global tax rates, identifying areas for cost reduction, and responding to inquiries from regulatory authorities. You will gain a global perspective on tax issues stemming from changes in business structures and geographic expansions. Your team will provide clients with investment advice based on expected tax leakage and associated tax risk, focusing on assessing global tax risk for offshore entities and offering investment solutions to minimize risk exposure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and maintaining the firm's legal entity information database with a focus on tax attributes.
- Leading teams and overseeing client accounts, emphasizing strategic planning and mentoring junior staff.
- Ensuring project success and upholding exceptional standards.
- Motivating and inspiring team members to deliver quality work and leveraging team strengths to meet client expectations.
- Implementing technology-enabled solutions for tax advisory and driving digitization, automation, and increased efficiencies.
- Developing new skills outside of your comfort zone and acting to resolve issues that prevent the team from working effectively.
- Analyzing complex ideas or proposals and building a range of meaningful recommendations.
- Using multiple sources of information, including broader stakeholder views, to develop solutions and recommendations.
- Addressing sub-standard work or work that does not meet the firm's/client's expectations.
- Using data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making.
- Developing a point of view on key global trends and how they impact clients.
- Managing a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties.
- Simplifying complex messages, highlighting, and summarizing key points.
- Upholding the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for the position of Financial Services Global Structuring - Manager, candidates must meet the following educational and experience requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree is required.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience is necessary.
- CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.
- A Juris Doctorate (JD), Master of Laws (LLM), or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation is preferred.
- Experience with private equity ownership structures and knowledge of . tax concepts and classifications are advantageous.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite and experience in automation and digitization are beneficial.
- The ability to build and utilize client relationships, supervise teams for tax compliance, and coach staff with meaningful feedback is important.
- Developing new relationships and selling services is a valuable skill.
Salary Information:
The salary range for the Financial Services Global Structuring - Manager position is $98,300 to $266,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. This salary range is applicable for roles based in Maryland, and actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
