Job Title: Insurance Defense Attorney - Bodily Injury

Job Responsibilities:
As an insurance defense attorney within the bodily injury unit, the primary responsibility is to be part of the motor vehicle insurance defense litigation team. The role involves providing legal representation to insured clients and/or the insurance company before courts and arbitration panels in all aspects of litigation. Key duties include handling cases from start to finish, preparing legal pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs, and negotiating settlements. The attorney will work closely with clients and claims partners to prepare timely reports on litigation, ensuring all appropriate defenses are leveraged to achieve positive outcomes. Additional tasks include analyzing written discovery, depositions, medical records, and assessing the value of claims to determine risk exposure. The position also requires occasional travel to an office for meetings and/or training, and candidates must reside within a reasonable driving distance of the office they support.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor degree or a Master of Laws (LLM). They must also be admitted to practice law in the state of Texas.

Salary Information:
The compensation for this position ranges from $95, to $105,600 annually. Additionally, there is a Gainshare annual cash incentive payment of up to 30% of eligible earnings based on company performance.
