Job Title: Summer Honors Intern
Job Responsibilities:
Summer Honors Interns at the organization are provided with hands-on practical experience across various legal divisions. Responsibilities include:
- Drafting motion papers and briefs for court filings.
- Engaging in depositions and pre-trial court proceedings, particularly within the Tort Division.
- Collaborating with trial teams in the Special Federal Litigation Division to work on trials throughout the summer.
- Conducting interviews with victims and witnesses and appearing in court, especially in the Family Court Division.
- Participating in various legal divisions depending on placement, such as Labor and Employment, Administrative Law and Regulatory Litigation, General Litigation, Commercial and Real Estate Litigation, and Workers’ Compensation Divisions.
- Occasionally working in Affirmative Litigation, Appeals, Environmental Law, Legal Counsel, and Tax and Bankruptcy Litigation Divisions.
- First-year summer interns may be placed in any of the organization’s 18 legal divisions, including transactional divisions like Economic Development, Contracts and Real Estate, and Municipal Finance.
Education and Experience Information:
The program is open to law students, with applications currently accepted from second-year law students. First-year law students may apply after December 1, 2025. The organization looks for candidates who:

Salary Information:
Summer Honors Interns receive a weekly stipend of $750 during the nine-week program. Free summer housing is available for out-of-town interns, concurrent with the program.

Candidates interested in the 2026 Summer Honors Program should submit a cover letter, resume, two writing samples, unofficial transcript, and a list of three references. The cover letter should indicate the primary division of interest and any additional divisions. Applications can be submitted to the Director of Legal Recruitment at the organization.
