Job Title: International Tax Senior Consultant, Global Trade Advisory
Job Responsibilities:
As a Senior Consultant on the Global Trade Advisory team, the primary responsibilities include:
- Participating in engagements requiring regulatory analysis for various entities and their affiliates.
- Working with . and multinational companies to understand national and international trade requirements.
- Aligning client trade functions with their business objectives.
- Developing and pursuing creative strategies using the latest technologies.
- Assisting importers and exporters in achieving worldwide compliance and realizing efficiencies in their global supply chain.
- Advising . and foreign multinational companies on global import and export strategies and compliance.
- Working with clients to assess and deploy technology solutions to enable international trade management operations.
- Providing planning and compliance assistance and exploring automated import and export solutions.
- Engaging in supply chain efficiency planning, including trade and security, customs valuation planning, first sale for export planning, and analyzing transfer pricing policies to ensure compliance with customs valuation requirements.
- Offering process improvement planning and implementation assistance.
- Assisting in trade compliance audits and representing clients before trade authorities around the world.
Education and Experience Information:
Qualifications for this role include:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a legal, business, or technology-related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in import, export, and/or technology enablement, gained through operational, government, law firm, or consulting roles.
- Experience with . import regulations and knowledge of export regulations, including ITAR/EAR.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on work requirements and client engagements.
- One of the following active accreditations is required, obtained, in process, or willing to obtain:
- Licensed CPA in the state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA.
- If not CPA eligible and not performing regulatory work, must meet accreditation policy in the member firm.
- If performing regulatory work, must meet . accreditation policy, including one of the following designations based on role requirements and business approval:
- Licensed attorney
- Enrolled Agent
- US Customhouse Broker's License
- CUSECO (Certified . Export Control Officer)
- For non-US citizens, qualifying credentials include:
- Foreign equivalent of the above certifications
- CUSICO (Certified US Import Compliance Officer)
- Professional Accreditation in EU Customs Law (post-masters)
Preferred qualifications:
- Prior consulting experience.
- Advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM.
- Foreign language skills or study abroad experience.
- Strong research, writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with implementing and configuring trade management software such as SAP GTS, Oracle GTM, etc., to manage import/export compliance.
- Project management experience indicating strong organizational, data management, project planning, project execution, and people skills.
- Ability to proactively develop internal and external relationships and effectively communicate on import/export/technology matters in relation to global trade.
- Detail-oriented and a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple, competing priorities effectively.
- Significant experience in using PowerPoint, MS Project, Access, Excel, and/or Visio.
- SAP SD/MM Certifications.
Salary Information:
The wage range for this role is influenced by various factors, including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate does not account for geographic differentials associated with the location where the position may be filled. The salary range is estimated to be $77,070 to $175,500. Additionally, candidates may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the program's rules, which depend on individual and organizational performance.
