A law firm seeks a highly skilled Senior Litigation Associate to join its business litigation practice. This position offers an excellent opportunity to handle both plaintiff and defense cases, with a strong focus on discovery, depositions, and motion practice. The ideal candidate is an experienced litigator capable of managing cases independently and collaborating within a team. Trial experience is a plus but not required. Oversee business litigation matters from inception to resolution.
Conduct legal research, and draft pleadings, motions, and memoranda.
Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to requests, and taking and defending depositions.
Prepare and argue motions in court.
Provide strategic legal counsel to clients on business disputes.
Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy and trial preparation.
Assist in business development initiatives and client relations.
Minimum of six years of experience handling business litigation matters.
Strong litigation skills, including discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
Experience with trial proceedings is preferred but not required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Business development experience is a plus.
Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in Missouri.
Expertise in commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
Ability to effectively manage a high-volume caseload.
Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
