About the Position
As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for managing a full caseload of workers’ compensation cases, from evaluating the merits of the case to negotiating and litigating, if necessary. You will also be expected to provide guidance and counsel to clients through effective communication and medical review. This is a full-time position with the option for remote work for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of workers’ compensation cases
- Create litigation and budget plans
- Conduct discovery
- Attend court and other appearances
- Try cases with exceptional client interaction
- Compose legal documents, including motions, briefs, and correspondence
- Prepare cases for trial
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties
- Utilize strong negotiation and communication skills
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in the defense of workers’ compensation cases
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage a full caseload with varying degrees of complexity
- Willingness to travel for court appearances
- Experience with creating litigation and budget plans
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation
The salary for this position ranges from $80k to $200k, with the opportunity for a bonus. In addition, the firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, life, STD and LTD insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
