Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Associate
Job Responsibilities:
The Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Associate will play a critical role in the law firm's cybersecurity and incident response practice. Key responsibilities include:
- Advising innovative companies on confronting cybersecurity incidents and other complex privacy and cybersecurity issues.
- Representing clients during major security incidents.
- Providing counseling on best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Offering cybersecurity expertise to companies involved in technology transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic corporate activities.
- Advising cybersecurity companies on legal compliance related to security research and threat intelligence activities.
- Taking on significant responsibility within the group to help grow the practice and serve leading technology companies navigating the complexities of cybersecurity regulations.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- 2nd to 4th year associate level experience.
- Relevant experience in cybersecurity and privacy, ideally within state or federal government agencies.
- Experience with incident response, cybersecurity investigations, or cybersecurity counseling is advantageous.
- Superior academic credentials.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $235,000 to $310,000, depending on the year classification. In addition to the base salary, discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded.
