Job Title: Tax Sr Manager, Private Wealth
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver tax and business advisory services and tax compliance to small business clients.
- Work closely with leadership to serve clients and contribute to business growth, impacting the firm's success.
- Mentor and coach a team of talented staff, aiding in the development of their technical and professional skills.
- Provide compliance and consulting services to high-net-worth individuals, multi-generational affluent families, family offices, and their private businesses and/or investment entities.
- Perform technical reviews of complex individual, partnership, S-corp, trust, estate, gift, and state tax returns.
- Lead multiple engagements involving proactive tax planning and strategic consulting, including federal estate, gift, charitable planning, and generation-skipping tax.
- Advise clients on business succession planning and make recommendations.
- Keep up-to-date on trends, developments, and technical authorities, applying them to complex situations.
- Manage client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met.
- Network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients using entrepreneurial skills.
- Invest in personal professional development and participate in firm-wide learning and development programs.
- Support the growth and development of team members through the firm's Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goals.
Education and Experience Information:
- An undergraduate degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
- CPA, MST, or JD/LLM is required.
- A minimum of eight years of experience in tax return review and planning for wealthy individuals, family members, and their trusts, investment entities, and private businesses is required. This includes experience in personal taxation, trust taxation, estate & gift taxation, charitable taxation, with exposure to flow-through entities, partnership taxation, and corporate taxation, including State & Local income (SALT)/Franchise tax for multi-state filers.
- At least two years of supervisory experience, including mentoring and counseling associates, is desired.
- Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning, see the "big picture" as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects.
- Eligibility to work in the ., without sponsorship, is highly preferred.
Salary Information:
For roles in California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote positions, the compensation range for this role is $86,220 to $182,770. Actual compensation is influenced by various factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
