Job Title: Assistant General Counsel – Contracting

Job Responsibilities:
The Assistant General Counsel – Contracting is responsible for providing legal counsel related to complex contracting matters, including vendor, provider network, producer/customer, and strategic sourcing contracts. The role requires delivering sound and actionable legal advice on regulatory, business, and operational issues in a complex and evolving legal and technological landscape. The successful candidate will collaborate with business leaders to develop adaptive strategies that support the company's established business operations and further its growth while advancing its mission. This position involves serving as a partner to business leaders and requires a deep understanding of the company's diverse portfolio of businesses that aim to expand access to quality, cost-effective health care.

Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor Degree and a license to practice law in the state where the legal department is located.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a practicing attorney after receiving a law degree is required.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Preferred qualifications include knowledge or understanding of the health care, health insurance, or claim administration field, along with 3+ years’ experience advising providers, insurers, or other health care entities.

Salary Information:
The compensation for the position of Assistant General Counsel – Contracting ranges from $118, to $220, annually. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Additional Information:
This role is a hybrid position, requiring in-office hours 3 days a week at the respective office location, which can be based in Chicago, Illinois; Richardson, Texas; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Helena, Montana, or Nashville, Tennessee. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
