This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $7, - $7, monthly and $89, - $94, annually. The selected applicants will begin as part of a cohort and the anticipated start date is September 2, 2025.

Job Description:
As a Law Clerk, you will conduct legal research, analyze motions and other matters on calendar to expedite court calendars, prepare written recommendations, and perform related duties as assigned. This is a limited-term position of up to 30 months with formal performance appraisals given at the 6-month and 18-month anniversary. Law clerks are prohibited from practicing law, receiving legal fees, and/or representing a party as counsel during their employment by the Court. Other outside employment must be approved in advance.

Requirements:
To qualify, you must meet the following requirements at the time of application:
- Current enrollment in a Juris Doctor program at an accredited school of law, in good standing, and within six months of graduation (if selected, offer will be contingent upon proof of both graduation and eligibility to take the California Bar Examination).
OR
- Licensed to practice law in the state of California and a member in good standing of the California State Bar.

Desirable qualifications include excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to conduct legal research independently, and establish and maintain effective working relationships. A valid California Class "C" driver's license or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation is also required.
