Application Process:
- Law students can apply for a paid internship, for credit externship, or for either type of position by indicating their preference in their cover letter.
- On Campus Interviews (OCIs) are available for students at specific law schools listed on the website.
- Non-OCI applicants can submit their application to the office directly.
- Undergraduate applicants must have approval from their school to receive credit for a position in the office and can submit their application to Melissa and Sarah.
Intern Duties:
- All interns will be responsible for legal research and writing, clerical duties, and assisting attorneys with trial and hearing preparation.
- Certified Legal Interns will have the opportunity to appear in court on behalf of the Commonwealth, under the supervision of an Assistant District Attorney.
- Eligible students can gain valuable courtroom experience before finishing law school by becoming certified under Bar Admission Rules 321 and 322.
Fall and Spring Positions:
- Paid internships are available throughout the year, with a limited number of positions.

- Paid interns are required to work 20 hours per week, so students should consider their class schedule before applying.
