Tax Senior - Federal / Corporate Tax
Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Senior Consultant within the Business Tax Services group, the candidate will be a key member of tax engagement teams, providing and assisting with a wide range of tax services relevant for both public and private companies. The responsibilities include:
- Performing detailed technical reviews of partnership, corporate, and individual federal tax returns, along with reviewing all related work papers.
- Coordinating with clients' tax and finance departments for tax planning and compliance data gathering.
- Conducting detailed reviews of income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
- Researching federal tax legislation to understand its impact on compliance and consulting.
- Assisting on various tax consulting projects, including research and writing related to federal tax planning, restructuring, controversy, and accounting for income taxes.
- Managing engagement workflow and supervising tax consultants and interns on assigned engagements.
Education and Experience Information:
Required qualifications include:
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model, which necessitates US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%, on average, depending on work, clients, and industries/sectors served.
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Over 3 years of experience in federal taxation.
- Experience in the preparation and review of federal tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
- Possession of or willingness to obtain one of the following active accreditations: Licensed CPA in the state of practice/primary office if eligible, Licensed Attorney, Enrolled Agent, Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA), or Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
Preferred qualifications include:
- An advanced degree such as a Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM.
- Experience working in a virtual and/or global environment.
- A passion for leveraging technology and exploring new technology solutions.
- Experience with accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC740.
- Previous experience with a Big 4 or large CPA firm.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Strong presentation and communications skills.
Salary Information:
The wage range for this role considers a broad range of factors, including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for geographic differentials associated with the job's location. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $66,570 to $151,580. Additionally, candidates may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, contingent on various factors including individual and organizational performance.
