Job Title: Managing Director, Forensics
Job Responsibilities:
The Managing Director in the Forensics department is tasked with a broad range of responsibilities aimed at both business development and operational management. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing business through relationships, contacts, and other opportunities.
- Leading client discussions and meetings, effectively communicating with clients in an organized and informed manner.
- Analyzing the current business environment to understand client needs, assess risks, and identify recommendations or areas of improvement.
- Leading the development of business opportunities and proposals.
- Creating industry-specific thought leadership articles and communications.
- Developing and executing a business development plan to identify opportunities for the Forensics Practice and other business lines.
- Assisting in the development of targeted and industry-specific marketing materials.
- Monitoring and implementing industry trends and best practices to create a positive, team-focused environment.
Additionally, the Managing Director has supervisory responsibilities, which include:
- Supervising the day-to-day workload of staff assigned to assist with pursuits and opportunities.
- Acting as a Career Advisor to Managers, Senior Associates, and Associates.
- Evaluating the performance of Compliance Managers, Senior Associates, and Associates and assisting in the development of goals and objectives to enhance professional development.
Education and Experience Information:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- An MBA or JD is preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of eight years of experience in developing business and managing relationships is required.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
- Experience with transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and customer risk rating tools is preferred.

- Strong business development skills through relationships, contacts, and other opportunities.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to multi-task effectively while working independently or in a group.
- Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
- Strong delivery focus and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills with a focus on meeting project deadlines and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels.
- Ability to manage a team of professionals and delegate work assignments as needed.
- Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with client personnel and internal staff.
- Ability to encourage a team environment on engagements and contribute to the professional development of assigned personnel.
Salary Information:
Individual salaries are determined after considering numerous factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography. The salary ranges are as follows:
- National Range: $200,000 - $400,000
- Maryland Range: $200,000 - $400,000
- NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $200,000 - $400,000
