A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Family Law Associate Attorney to join its team. This position offers a warm, supportive work environment, with remote work options available. Location:

  • McKinney, TX

Duties:

  • Consult with potential new clients and devise legal strategies.
  • Draft, review, and finalize legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and other family law-related documents.
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with opposing counsel, court personnel, and other legal professionals.
  • Attend pre-trial hearings and other court appearances as assigned by the managing attorney.
  • Participate in lead generation through networking and business development.
  • Advocate for clients in family law matters, focusing on effective and efficient settlements.
  • Maintain high-quality professional standards in line with the Texas Lawyer’s Creed.
  • Manage cases independently while ensuring timely resolution and effective outcomes.

Requirements:

  • 4-9 years of experience as a family law attorney.
  • Active member of the State Bar of Texas in good standing.
  • Spanish speaking skills preferred.
  • Strong courtroom experience and hunger for additional courtroom exposure.
  • Demonstrated integrity, compassion, and empathy for clients and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills with an acute attention to detail.
  • Independent, goal-driven, and self-motivated.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to adhere to professional standards and best practices.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership with the State Bar of Texas.

Skills:

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing, and reading skills.
  • Expertise in family law, including custody, divorce, and other family-related matters.
  • Additional experience or comfort with other areas of law (highly preferred).
  • Experience with mediation and family law coursework is a plus.
