Job Responsibilities:
As an International Tax Services Intern, you will be entrusted with significant responsibilities that mirror those of entry-level staff, ensuring a meaningful and engaging experience. Your duties will include:
- Providing international tax consulting services for businesses involved in inbound and outbound cross-border activities.
- Offering tax services for individuals working in the . and foreign countries.
- Preparing and reviewing global tax return compliance for . companies.
- Engaging with the tax engagement team as part of client entrenchment.
- Conducting research on developments within the international arena that may impact client businesses both globally and locally.
- Building meaningful interactions with staff at all levels and across offices.
- Gaining deeper knowledge in both tax and tax consulting through exposure to various service lines.
Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for this internship, candidates should demonstrate the following educational background and skills:
- A detail-oriented leader with problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting, or a Master's degree in accounting or tax, or an LLM.
- Completion of the first two entry-level accounting courses and currently enrolled in at least the first intermediate-level accounting course.
- Academic success with a minimum cumulative GPA of .
- On track to complete the requisite degree and supporting credits to sit for the CPA exam, with the goal of successfully obtaining a CPA license.
Salary Information:
Compensation for this position is commensurate with technical skills and experience and is provided in accordance with applicable state requirements. The hourly base range for Colorado and Illinois is $36 to $36.
Additional Information:
This is a non-exempt position that may require work hours exceeding the standard 40-hour work week. Some local, national, and occasional international travel may be required.
