Job Title: Banking & Capital Markets Tax Manager

Job Responsibilities:
The role of a Banking & Capital Markets Tax Manager at the Company involves working within the Financial Services Tax practice, a part of Corporate Tax services. The primary responsibilities include helping clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact of tax on their business. This involves advising clients on local and overseas tax affairs, acting as a strategic consultant for business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing. The position also requires helping organizations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties and providing advice on tax implications of deals. The manager will assist Financial Services clients in navigating the complex national and international tax environment, focusing on capital requirements, operational tax risks, and tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions. The role involves tax structuring and addressing the challenges of the continuously changing tax landscape, both locally and globally.

At a managerial level, the responsibilities extend to working as part of a team of problem solvers, addressing complex business issues from strategy to execution. The manager is expected to develop new skills, resolve team issues, coach others, analyze complex ideas, and use stakeholder views to develop solutions. They must address sub-standard work, use data for decision-making, develop a viewpoint on global trends, manage diverse viewpoints, simplify complex messages, and uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

Additional responsibilities include leading as technology-enabled tax advisors, providing value through digitization, automation, and increased efficiencies. The manager is expected to leverage the company's technical knowledge and specialization, along with industry insights, to solve client needs.

Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 4 years
- Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.

Preferred Qualifications:
The candidate should demonstrate extensive abilities and a proven record of success in dealing with tax issues for multinational US companies or publicly traded entities, especially in tax consulting, reporting, and compliance. The role requires tax technical proficiency, the ability to research business and industry trends, and leveraging this knowledge to assist with proposals. The candidate should be adept with automation and digitization in a professional services environment, working with large, complex data sets, and using data visualization tools. The role also involves pricing, client value, negotiation processes, and managing engagements, which includes preparing concise documents and balancing project economics.

The role demands executing corporate planning and compliance, tax accounting and financial reporting, including tax provision preparation, audit, and review with ASC 740 techniques. Technical skills with tax tools and resources, such as tax provision and compliance software like Corptax or OneSource, are also necessary. The candidate should possess research skills using platforms like Westlaw, RIA, and CCH. As a team leader, the candidate should create a positive work environment, monitor team workloads, provide feedback, and keep leadership informed of progress and issues.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $98,300 - $266,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. The actual compensation within this range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
