The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in advising clients on various aspects of intellectual property law, including patent, trademark, trade secret, and false advertising litigation. This role requires a proactive attorney dedicated to protecting clients' innovations and helping them navigate complex legal landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal counsel to clients in matters related to patent, trademark, trade secret, and false advertising litigation.
• Represent clients seeking patent and trademark protection before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Negotiate licensing agreements and other intellectual property contracts to safeguard client interests.
• Advocate for patent owners in enforcing their rights against infringers, including domestic and international corporations facing allegations of patent infringement, antitrust violations, and unfair competition.
• Counsel clients on strategies to avoid litigation, emphasizing proactive measures to protect intellectual property.
• Conduct thorough assessments of competitors' patent portfolios and collaborate with engineers to enhance clients' product development.
• Identify potentially problematic features in clients' products and propose practical solutions to mitigate litigation risks.
• Assist clients facing allegations of infringement by identifying distinguishing elements of their technology and effectively communicating these distinctions to adversarial parties to prevent disputes.

Requirements

• A portable book of business demonstrating an established client base is essential.
• Proven experience in patent and trademark law, as well as broader intellectual property matters.
• Strong background in litigation, particularly in the enforcement of patents and related disputes.
