Job Overview:
A prominent Dallas-based law firm with a legacy of over three decades seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. This role is ideal for a candidate looking to gain hands-on experience across civil, family, and real estate legal matters. The attorney will collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys, supporting litigation and alternative dispute resolution matters from initial filings to post-trial proceedings. This is a full-time, in-office position offering an opportunity to grow in a client-facing, fast-paced legal environment.

Duties:

  • Support senior attorneys in litigation matters, including motion practice, trial preparation, and discovery

  • Draft and review motions, briefs, petitions, and other pleadings

  • Participate in hearings, mediations, depositions, and arbitrations

  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda

  • Manage assigned caseload under the supervision of partners

  • Communicate with court staff, clients, and opposing counsel

  • Assist with temporary order hearings, injunctive relief actions, and administrative law matters

  • Coordinate with internal staff and legal assistants for case-related tasks

Requirements:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas

  • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills

  • 0-3 years of experience in civil litigation, family law, and real estate law is preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to manage litigation tasks independently or with minimal supervision

  • Comfortable interfacing directly with clients and court officials

  • Prior experience handling depositions and discovery is preferred

  • Willingness to work in-office Monday through Friday (non-remote role)

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Texas State Bar

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and case management systems (., MyCase)

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized

  • Effective verbal and written communication

  • Ability to adapt to a variety of legal proceedings and practice areas
