Job Title: Law Fellow

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop legal expertise in areas such as housing, labor and employment, environmental justice, education, and health.
- Provide legal services to rural Californians to address core legal needs in CRLA’s priority areas: Housing, Employment, Education, Rural Health, and Leadership Development.
- Engage in direct services and systemic advocacy via a network of 13 field offices throughout rural California.
- Participate in multi-county Tenant Justice Project focused on eviction defense and tenant’s rights.
- Contribute to regional projects like the Monterey County Medical Legal Partnership, Imperial County Health Consumer team, and Central Coast Homelessness Prevention Collaborative.
- Collaborate with the organization to secure funding for fellowship programs.
- Work closely with the organization during the fellowship application process.

Education and Experience Information:
- Applicable to rising or current third-year law students and recent law graduates.
- Strong commitment to working with rural Californians and addressing issues affecting their lives is essential.
- Applicants are encouraged to identify law foundation, law school, and other postgraduate fellowships available to them.
- Previous hosting or sponsorship of fellows from Equal Justice Works and Berkeley Law Foundation is noted.
- Prospective fellows are encouraged to discuss proposed projects with the organization’s Director of Pro Bono and Strategic Initiatives.
