Job Overview:A law firm specializing in estate planning and trust administration is seeking a qualified Associate Attorney. This role involves working with both foundational estate planning and advanced asset protection for high-net-worth individuals. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of estate planning, trust administration, corporate law, and real estate law, along with excellent communication and analytical skills.Location:Kalamazoo, MichiganDuties:Prepare and draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts (revocable and irrevocable), powers of attorney, premarital agreements, and related legal documentsAdvise and consult fiduciaries in probate and trust administration, and prepare necessary documents for probate court filingsForm legal entities such as limited liability companies and non-profitsDraft and review legal documents related to real estate transactionsEnsure compliance with all relevant legal standards and regulationsRequirements:1-5 years of experience in estate planning and/or estate and trust administration (preferred)Strong understanding of estate planning, trust administration, corporate law, and real estate lawExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsEducation:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Active license to practice law in the State of MichiganSkills:Strong written and verbal communication abilities for client interaction and team collaborationHigh attention to detail and organization in document preparationProficiency in estate law practices and a client-focused approach to legal servicesAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
