Job Description:

A law firm is seeking a talented Mid-Level Corporate Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join its team in Redwood City, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate and transactional matters, with a focus on seed and venture capital transactions, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and securities offerings. Experience or interest in working with life sciences companies is highly desirable.

Duties:

Handle a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including but not limited to seed and venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and private and public offerings of securities.
Conduct due diligence, draft and negotiate transaction documents, and provide strategic advice to clients.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams and manage substantial components of transactions independently.
Provide legal support and guidance to clients on various corporate matters.

Requirements:

3-5 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on transactional matters.
Strong background in seed and venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and securities offerings.
Experience working with life sciences companies is preferred, but candidates with a keen interest in life sciences work will also be considered.
Excellent academic credentials from a reputable law school.
Comparable law firm experience is highly desirable.
Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
