The Global Transaction Tax team at A&M is composed of seasoned tax professionals with experience in providing practical tax advice to corporate and private equity clients throughout the transaction life cycle. They use an integrated, focused, and tailored approach to quickly identify and understand potential deal breakers, value drivers, and other areas of specific interest to clients. The team has significant experience in both buy-side and sell-side transactions across various industries.
As a member of the Global Transaction Tax team, the Senior Associate will be responsible for performing due diligence, reviewing tax returns and financials, and identifying potential tax risks and opportunities. They will also review and comment on tax aspects of financial models, purchase agreements, and structuring calculations. The Senior Associate will take ownership of assigned workstreams and draft client-ready reports summarizing tax issues and attributes identified during diligence. They will also quantify state income and non-income tax exposures and coordinate with federal and international tax team members and financial and operational due diligence team members to deliver high-quality work.

To qualify for this role, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business and at least 3 years of relevant experience in a mergers & acquisitions tax practice at a Big 4 firm, Big Law firm, or similar firm. Advanced degrees and certifications such as CPA, MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM are preferred. Candidates should have knowledge and experience with federal and state income tax, non-income tax, and unclaimed property issues and possess strong writing, analytical, research, and organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills and a strong sense of personal motivation are also required. The ability to work in a dynamic, time-sensitive, and challenging environment is essential, as well as experience with delegation, supervision, and leading diligence calls.
In addition to a competitive salary range of $125,000 - $150,000 annually, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance.
