Our firm has a strong reputation in public finance, particularly in Healthcare Finance, Economic Development, Housing, TIF and Special Assessment, Infrastructure, and Education. If you are a qualified candidate with mid-level bond counsel, lender's counsel, and disclosure counsel experience, we encourage you to apply. We are looking for individuals who have worked with state agencies, municipalities, and governmental entities. A basic understanding of tax, securities, uniform commercial code, and contract law applicable to public finance is required, with a preference for candidates with a concentration in business law during law school. Strong drafting, analytical, organizational, and matter management skills are essential, as well as the ability to communicate effectively and work efficiently under pressure.

The salary range for this position is between $260,000 - $350,000, in compliance with the Illinois Equity Pay Act. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors allowed by law.

Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of public finance experience
- Mid-level bond counsel, lender's counsel, and disclosure counsel experience
- Experience working with state agencies, municipalities, and governmental entities
- Basic understanding of tax, securities, uniform commercial code, and contract law applicable to public finance
- Law school course concentration in business law preferred
- JD from an ABA-approved law school
- Good standing and active member of the bar in jurisdiction(s) of practice
- Timely admission to the bar coinciding with office of hire
- Strong drafting, analytical, organizational, and matter management skills
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Exceptional work ethic

Responsibilities:
- Join the Finance Practice Group in one of our offices in Chicago, Detroit, Houston, or Milwaukee
- Work on public finance transactions representing borrowers, issuers, financial institutions, and credit and liquidity providers
- Interact with partners and clients directly
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Draft legal documents and agreements
- Manage matters effectively and efficiently
- Meet deadlines and communicate progress to team members and clients
