- Providing client services and advocacy, particularly for those who can commit more time to the organization’s mission.

- For summer interns or those in longer-term programs, there may be opportunities to directly assist in case work and provide direct service to clients.
- Depending on experience, skill level, and relevant certifications (including 3:03), interns may have the opportunity to directly represent clients on certain legal matters.
- Attending additional events, learning opportunities, and trainings to further develop legal skills and knowledge.
Education and Experience Information:
The internship is open to a variety of candidates, including law and undergraduate students. The organization considers all kinds of experience, not just academic credentials, and welcomes applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds. Specific educational requirements are not detailed, but the opportunity is particularly suitable for students participating in co-op programs or those who can commit to longer periods of service, such as a semester or school year.
Salary Information:
The organization currently does not compensate interns directly. However, they are willing to support and assist candidates who have secured alternative sources of funding. They will also prepare any necessary paperwork promptly to facilitate this process. The organization participates in work-study programs operated through schools and accepts fellowship applicants.
Additional Information:
Interns are expected to work approximately 10 hours a week during the academic year, with flexibility in scheduling to accommodate academic and work commitments. For summer internships, a full-time commitment of 35 hours a week for about 10 weeks is expected, though modifications can be made depending on school or program requirements.
Interns will be placed in field offices located in Brockton, Fall River, New Bedford, and Hyannis. The organization offers hybrid in-person and remote work options, although fully remote positions are typically not available.
The organization is committed to fostering a healthy, inclusive environment that values and empowers staff, clients, and community members, especially those from marginalized communities. They are an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcome applicants from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences.
How to Apply:
Applications are considered on a rolling basis. For full consideration, applicants should submit a resume, two references, and a cover letter with the subject line "Internship Application." If applicants are requesting consideration for work-study or funding opportunities, they should state this clearly in their application. The organization encourages applicants to inquire if they have any questions about the application process.
