Job Title: Manager or Senior Manager, SALT M&A

Job Responsibilities:
- Work within a multi-disciplinary Tax and Advisory team to deliver pre-transaction related tax and financial due diligence, acquisition structuring, and post-transaction integration services, primarily for private equity clients, public corporations, and commercial clients.
- Analyze tax laws and develop positions on their application to specific facts encountered during transactions.
- Create Excel spreadsheets to calculate potential exposure or other tax liabilities associated with transactions, including past, present, or future liabilities.
- Draft due diligence reports and memorandums that capture areas of risk and address the application of laws to specific facts.
- Research and draft technical memoranda on income and franchise tax questions.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop staff members while fostering new client relationships, particularly with management personnel of acquired companies.
- Deliver SALT consulting services to new clients.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Manager:
- Participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the company while maintaining managerial accountability for the team.
- Act as a coach and mentor to other tax professionals.

Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum five years of recent experience providing tax research and technical advice on multi-state issues.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Must hold a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Enrolled Agent (EA), Juris Doctor/Master of Laws (JD/LLM), or Masters in Taxation (MTX), or other approved credentials. If not already obtained, the candidate has one year from the date of hire to obtain one of the approved credentials.
- Experience with various corporate taxes.
- Ability to handle multiple engagements and client service teams in a high-energy team environment.
- Exceptional writing, communication, and tax research skills; proficient in Excel.

Additional Qualifications for Senior Manager:
- Minimum eight years of recent experience in tax research and technical advice on multi-state issues.
- Experience mentoring and counseling staff-level team members.
