Job Title: 2L Summer Associate – Trademark

Job Responsibilities:

As a 2L Summer Associate in the Trademark, Copyright, and Advertising (TCA) group at the law firm, you will be part of a team that provides comprehensive legal services related to trademark, copyright, and advertising matters. The TCA group at the law firm represents over 2,000 companies annually, addressing a wide range of issues and engaging in both domestic and international matters. Your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting in the selection, prosecution, and enforcement of trademark and related rights in the US, UK, and European Union.
- Counseling clients on brand adoption, expansion, licensing, enforcement, and litigation.
- Participating in litigation efforts, including contributing to cases before federal courts, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, the . Copyright Office, and domain name tribunals.
- Developing skills in both portfolio management and litigation, understanding how these areas inform one another.
- Engaging in strategic counseling and contentious matters under the guidance of experienced attorneys.

Education and Experience Information:

- The position is open to 2L law students, indicating that candidates should be in their second year of law school.
- While prior work experience relating to trademark, copyright, and advertising issues is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement for applicants.

Salary Information:

The expected salary for the 2L Summer Associate position in the TCA group is based on an annualized rate of pay of $225,000. This salary reflects the competitive nature of the position within the legal industry and the prestigious nature of the law firm's program.
