Job Title: Tax Provision Senior - Tax Accounting & Risk Advisory (TARAS)

Job Responsibilities:
The Tax Provision Senior in the Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) practice is responsible for assisting companies with their financial reporting for income taxes, including tax accounting, tax provision procedures, and controls design and testing. The role involves working closely with leaders to serve companies that require assistance with tax accounting for transactions or ongoing tax provision processes. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing clients with tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning.
- Assisting companies with all aspects of their preparation of the tax provision.
- Reviewing the tax provision process to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control environment.
- Assessing tax risk and control environments, including those related to Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.
- Engaging in tax accounting projects and consulting.
- Enhancing processes and controls.
- Identifying, prioritizing, monitoring, and remediating key risks.

Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for the role, candidates must have:
- A bachelor's degree in a related field, supported by significant tax or legal experience; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM is preferred.
- A valid US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or active state bar membership.
- A minimum of 3 years of work experience in professional services, tax organization, law firm, or IRS.
- A broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation.
- Strong analytical skills, written/verbal communication skills, interpersonal, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- The ability to travel 50%+ and work on out-of-town projects.

Ideally, candidates will also have:
- Strong ASC 740 and/or IAS 12 experience.
- Experience in corporate tax planning and compliance.
- Relevant tax experience or equivalent experience in business or industry with broad exposure to federal income taxation.

Salary Information:
The compensation for this role includes a comprehensive package based on performance and the value brought to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $80,700 to $133,300. The base salary range for the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $96,800 to $151,600. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined by various factors, including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
