Duties

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on employment law and relevant precedents
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, oppositions to summary judgment motions, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel or parties
  • Represent clients at court hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and other proceedings
  • Maintain frequent and clear communication with clients to provide updates and case guidance
  • Uphold high ethical standards and professionalism in legal practice

Requirements

  • 15 years of experience practicing as a plaintiff employment lawyer or in a similar litigation role
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong commitment to advocating for workers’ rights and interests
  • Willingness to handle a full caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • Experience with employment law verdicts, summary judgment victories, appellate work, and/or class action cases (preferred)

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the State of NY
