Job Title: Business & Tax Law - Associate Attorney
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in corporate/business law at a law firm or in-house legal department.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic legal advice on business formation, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions
- Conduct comprehensive research and prepare memos on various business and tax topics
- Draft and review a variety of business contracts to ensure compliance and alignment with client objectives
- Monitor and advise clients on tax compliance issues
- Communicate complex information to stakeholders in an accessible manner
- Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations
- Manage assigned legal matters from start to finish
- Deliver exceptional client service
Required Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admitted to State Bar of Michigan and in good standing
- Strong understanding of business law principles
- Knowledge of federal and state tax laws
- Excellent writing, research, and communication skills
- Strong professional judgment and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
