Job Title: Sr. Counsel - US Financial Services

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of existing commercial agreements and draft and negotiate new agreements with customers.
- Anticipate and protect the company against risk exposure.
- Advise stakeholders on the status of agreement negotiations and other legal and business issues.
- Provide mentoring and management for one or more team members.
- Advise internal clients on the implications of alternative legal positions to enable informed business decisions.
- Review, negotiate, and draft complex contracts and related documents.
- Stay informed about changes in the law, contracts, or other legal issues that may impact the company’s operations.
- Assist other attorneys on matters with potential for litigation.
- Maintain confidentiality of company-related business.
- Keep supervisors informed of developments within assigned responsibilities.
- Provide formal and informal training for internal clients.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, sound judgment, trustworthiness, and safeguarding of business operations and confidential information.

Education and Experience Information:
- Requires a .
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a practicing attorney, either in-house or at a law firm, focused on consumer financial services.
- Preferred experience includes advising on and negotiating master services, data, and technology licensing agreements in a regulated environment.
- A strong regulatory compliance background is preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of FCRA, GLBA, privacy, technology, and intellectual property law are preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and exhibit sound judgment in seeking guidance from senior attorneys.
- Executive-level written and oral communication skills and advocacy experience.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to build and foster strong relationships with peers, staff, and management at all levels.

Salary Information:
- The . base salary range for this position is $112, - $187,500 annually.
- Actual compensation is based on individual’s education, training, work experience, skill set, location, industry knowledge, scope and responsibilities of the position, and market considerations.
- Regular, full-time non-sales positions may be eligible for participation in the company’s annual bonus plan and long-term incentives.
