A law firm seeks a dedicated Litigation Attorney with a minimum of four years of experience to join its Toms River, NJ office. The ideal candidate will be skilled in handling various legal matters, including real estate transactions, estate planning, probate, and guardianship. This role is suited for an attorney passionate about achieving the best outcomes for clients within a collaborative team environment.

Duties

  • Represent clients in court and before government agencies, handling cases from initiation through resolution.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients for real estate transactions, estate planning, and guardianship matters.
  • Advise clients on financial management, business transactions, Social Security issues, and Medicare/Medicaid laws.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and seek new business opportunities; a portable book of business is a plus.
  • Participate in negotiations and settlements, ensuring favorable resolutions for legal disputes.
  • Perform administrative tasks and manage case documentation in compliance with legal standards.

Requirements

  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar (required).
  • At least four years of experience in litigation, with knowledge of commercial and residential real estate, wills, probate, guardianship, and estate planning.
  • Demonstrated experience in civil trials, with attendance at a minimum of five civil trials.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 and Windows 10.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active New Jersey State Bar membership.

  • Proficient in legal research, drafting, and client representation.
