Are you a strong communicator with an interest in the legislative process? The Office of Senator Deb Fischer is offering a summer internship program that will provide you with firsthand experience in . Senate operations and the opportunity to serve the Nebraska constituency. As an intern, you will have the chance to develop your writing, research, and public speaking skills while paying attention to detail. This is a competitive and ongoing selection process, with priority given to Nebraska applicants. Internship offers will be extended as positions remain available, and each session will close as soon as the available positions are filled.

Internship Responsibilities:

- Leading . Capitol tours
- Processing constituent correspondence

Internship Sessions:

Location and Availability:

Internships are available throughout the year in the Washington, . office, as well as the Nebraska offices in Lincoln and Omaha. Full-time and part-time positions are available, with a minimum of hours per week. Candidates must be available during the designated session dates and must indicate their preferred office and session on the Internship Application Form.

Only completed applications will be considered, and candidates selected for an interview will be contacted by the Intern Coordinator. Please refer to the website for internship session dates.

Internship Application Form:

The Internship Application Form is available on the website and should be completed and scanned before submission. The form asks for basic personal information, such as name, date of birth, contact information, and citizenship status.
