Job Title: 2L Intellectual Property Summer Associate
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in the Summer Associate Program, which includes working on multiple projects with different lawyers across various practice areas within the law firm.
- Observe and assist in trials, hearings, depositions, and negotiations, and participate in client meetings and closings.
- Engage in substantive and challenging work assignments, including Pro Bono matters.
- Receive mentoring from partners and associates to guide professional development.
- Work in a collaborative environment, enhancing writing skills, and receiving guidance and detailed feedback on work products.
- Network at various social events and participate in interactive training workshops, including M&A and deposition skills.
- Contribute to building teams rich in talent, experiences, and creativity to deliver innovative solutions for clients.
- Work on complex legal matters across practices and offices to help clients overcome challenges.
Education and Experience Information:
- Candidates must be rising second-year law students who will graduate between December 2026 and June 2027.
- Preferred candidates should have outstanding academic credentials, superior writing skills, and membership in Law Review, Journal, or Moot Court.
- For New York: Candidates should have an undergraduate and/or graduate degree in life or physical sciences, such as chemistry, biology, biochemistry, engineering, or similar fields.
- For Chicago, Palo Alto, and Washington .: Candidates should have an undergraduate and/or graduate degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
Salary Information:
- The salary wage for this position is $4,327 per week.
