A law firm seeks a motivated attorney to join its Atlanta, GA, office, working onsite to support and grow its litigation and insolvency practice.
Duties
Supervise and manage a diverse caseload including commercial disputes, creditors’ rights matters, and bankruptcy proceedings
Serve as primary point of contact for clients, keeping them informed of case developments and strategic options
Draft, review, and file legal documents such as complaints, motions, briefs, agreements, discovery requests, and proposed orders
Represent clients at hearings, status conferences, and other court appearances, advocating zealously on their behalf
Liaise with opposing counsel and related parties to negotiate case resolutions and coordinate discovery
Oversee and mentor support staff to ensure the timely completion of tasks and maintain quality control
Requirements
Admission to practice in Georgia
Minimum of two years of experience handling civil litigation, bankruptcy, or related matters
Proactive, leadership-oriented mindset with a willingness to manage cases and supervise staff
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; openness to adopting new legal technologies
Education
Juris Doctor (.) from an ABA-accredited law school
Certifications
Active Georgia Bar licensure
Skills
Strong drafting and analytical abilities, with attention to detail in pleadings and court filings
Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation skills to represent clients effectively
Organized multitasker who can prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Collaborative approach, able to work independently while coordinating with colleagues and staff
