Job Overview:
A respected creditors’ rights law firm is actively seeking a Georgia-based Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. This role offers immediate courtroom exposure, including hearings, discovery, and trials, for motivated attorneys with at least one year of litigation or collections experience. The position is ideal for attorneys who thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment and seek consistent courtroom experience in a structured and supportive legal setting.

Location:

  • Alpharetta, Georgia

Duties:

  • Conduct a comprehensive review of case documentation and financials prior to initiating legal actions

  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, and client correspondence

  • Update internal systems with case findings, documentation, and legal recommendations

  • Maintain strict adherence to confidentiality and professionalism standards

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal legal requirements related to foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections

  • Handle contested litigation matters, including managing discovery and participating in trial proceedings

  • Represent clients at hearings across Georgia

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in litigation or collections (preferred)

  • Ability to manage a heavy caseload with accuracy and efficiency

  • Proven ability to produce high-quality legal work under strict deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Georgia (required)

  • Additional bar admissions in states such as FL, SC, NC, VA, or PA are advantageous

Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management systems

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Analytical problem-solving and strategic thinking

  • Ability to evaluate legal risk and recommend corrective actions
