Position Summary

**Members Only** is seeking a Tax Manager to join our Providence, RI office. The Tax Manager will work alongside a team of talented tax specialists and take a lead role on all aspects of tax engagements. This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 5 years of experience in public accounting and a passion for developing and maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities:

Reviewing individual, trust, partnership, and corporate tax returns prepared by tax staff and/or seniors for accuracy
Conducting research and drafting memorandums on complex tax matters
Identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities
Handling and resolving tax controversies
Overseeing tax research projects for a variety of clients and industries
Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to meet client deadlines
Providing guidance and mentorship to tax staff
Instructing or leading discussions in professional development programs

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting
CPA, JD, LLM, or a Masters of Science in Taxation required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public accounting tax department, with experience leading engagements and supervising staff
Strong analytical and technical tax skills
Excellent client service and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced, team environment
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
