Job Title: Student Intern - Division of Law

Job Responsibilities:
- Interns will experience the daily operations of the state's civil attorneys within the Division of Law (DOL).
- Each intern is assigned to a specific section of the DOL, allowing for specialization in areas such as education law, civil rights litigation, complex financial transactions, or child protection proceedings.
- Responsibilities include performing the full range of law clerk duties, including research and writing.
- Interns have the opportunity to attend court proceedings, client meetings, depositions, and other special events.
- Participation in training sessions offered to Deputy Attorneys General is available throughout the year.

Education and Experience Information:
- The internship is open exclusively to law students.
- Internships are available during the summer break, fall semester, and spring semester.

Salary Information:
- The student internships offered by the Department’s Divisions are unpaid.

Additional Information:
- Interns can work in one of the 11 sections based in Newark, 14 sections based in Trenton, or one section in Voorhees.
- Application deadlines for the summer program are on March 5.
