Job Title: Manager, Contracts (Onsite)

Job Responsibilities:
The Manager, Contracts at the company will play a strategic role within the Air Dominance (AD) product line of the Air & Space Defense Systems strategic business unit. This position involves managing the front-end assessment of business pursuits, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, administering contracts, and managing customer relationships in compliance with company policies, acquisition regulations, and customer requirements/specifications for various types of United States Government (USG) Department of Defense (DoD) contracts. The responsibilities include:

- Reviewing requests for proposals (RFPs), structuring balanced business deals, establishing negotiation strategies, formalizing contractual documents, and maintaining frequent customer interface both virtually and in person.
- Collaborating closely with company leadership by advising on contractual rights and obligations, mitigating contractual/program risks, compiling and analyzing data, maintaining historical information, and providing recommendations for balanced business deals.
- Managing multiple contracts as the primary interface with the customers’ Prime Contracting Officers (PCOs).
- Conducting timely and effective negotiations and resolving customer issues to maximize key financial metrics such as bookings, sales, cash, and profit.
- Working independently while recognizing matters that require leadership review and buy-in.
- Multi-tasking routine and complex contract and proposal activities while responding to unplanned quick response requirements as they emerge.
- Drafting complex letters that effectively communicate the company’s business position.
- Traveling to a company or customer facility as needed for program and/or customer meetings.

Education and Experience Information:
- Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years' experience.
- Active and transferable . government-issued Secret security clearance is required prior to the start date, with the ability to obtain program access after the start date.
- Experience with . Government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) and related government regulations is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Mature judgment, proactive involvement in strategic issues, and problem resolution skills.
- Hands-on proposal preparation or negotiation experience.
- Professional, effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced Degrees such as JD Law Degree or MBA or relevant Contracts Certifications such as CPCM or CFCM.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this role is between 101,000 USD and 203,000 USD. This range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Several factors are considered when extending an offer, including the role, function, associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these programs are not guaranteed and depend on various factors, including individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
