Job Title: Attorney – Unlawful Detainer
Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Unlawful Detainer/Eviction Attorney is to manage unlawful detainer cases, which are typically landlord-tenant disputes involving eviction proceedings. The attorney will handle these cases from intake through trial or settlement, providing a comprehensive legal service to clients. This position offers candidates the opportunity to work directly with clients, allowing for a hands-on approach in managing cases and gaining immediate court and trial experience. The role may require making in-person court appearances depending on the court rules, particularly across Southern California. Attorneys are expected to provide superior client service, conducting thorough analysis and research, and demonstrating excellent skills in writing and verbal communication.
Education and Experience:
Candidates for this position should have excellent academic credentials. Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years of litigation experience, but entry-level candidates with 0-2 years of experience are also encouraged to apply. All candidates must be licensed to practice law in California, as the role involves attending in-person court hearings and trials in the state.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000, depending on the candidate's experience. In addition to a competitive salary, the position offers a full benefits package, which includes eligibility for subjective and objective bonuses and student debt repayment assistance.
