Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Portland, OR is looking to bring on an experienced litigation attorney to strengthen its Intellectual Property team. This role emphasizes technology-centric legal disputes, including matters tied to patents and trade secrets. The ideal candidate will have both legal expertise and a technical background, offering a valuable blend of analytical and scientific insight into complex legal challenges.

Duties:

• Represent clients in high-stakes intellectual property disputes, particularly those involving patents and trade secrets

• Prepare and review legal filings, discovery materials, and trial strategies

• Conduct in-depth legal and technical research

• Participate in hearings, depositions, and court appearances

• Collaborate with cross-office teams on nationwide litigation matters

• Interpret and explain complex technological concepts in legal arguments

• Contribute to trial readiness and inter partes review proceedings before administrative tribunals

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in intellectual property litigation

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong drafting, writing, and analytical skills

• Familiarity with federal courts, ITC proceedings, or PTO review procedures preferred

• Active member in good standing of the Oregon State Bar or eligible for admission

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

• An undergraduate or advanced degree in a technical discipline is highly preferred

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Oregon

Skills:
