Job Title:
Tax Senior - Banking & Capital Markets

Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Senior within the Financial Services arm of the Business Tax Services group, the primary responsibilities include:
- Providing federal tax consulting and compliance services specifically to clients in the banking and financial services industries.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships on various federal tax consulting and compliance engagements.
- Advising clients on a range of tax issues including accounting for income taxes, FTA (periods, methods & credits), tax provisions, tax compliance, business restructuring, and tax controversy.
- Overseeing complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects that require tax analysis for a variety of entities and their affiliates.
- Working directly with clients and tax engagement teams, accessing a group of specialists when necessary, and connecting with a strong support system from leadership to ensure success in the role and career.

Education and Experience Information:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in federal taxation.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing federal tax returns.
- Excellent research and writing skills, along with strong presentation and communication abilities.
- One of the following active accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain:
- Licensed CPA in the state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA exam.
- If not CPA eligible: Licensed Attorney, Enrolled Agent, or certifications such as Certified Financial Accountant (CFA) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP).

Preferred:
- An advanced degree such as a Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM.
- Experience with accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC740.
- Previous experience with a Big 4 or large CPA firm.
- Experience in banking, securities, and/or capital market industries.

Salary Information:
The wage range for this role is estimated to be between $63,420 to $144,300. This range accounts for various factors considered in making compensation decisions, including skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for geographic differences. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Additionally, candidates may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, with awards based on individual and organizational performance.

Additional Information:
- The position requires the ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model, necessitating US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 – 3 days per week.
- The role may require travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work, clients, and industries/sectors served.
