Job Title: Executive Director, TMT Sponsor Coverage
Job Responsibilities:
- Coverage of private equity firms and alternative asset managers that invest in the TMT sector.
- Focus on driving deep connectivity and relationships with key decision-makers to lead to M&A advisory, leveraged finance, and other commercial banking engagements.
- Develop individual strategies for more than 30 unique sponsor clients with sector-oriented deal partners, capital markets professionals, and senior management.
- Originate and oversee the execution of lead financing transactions for high-value portfolio companies.
- Collaborate and partner with key sector teams and product partners across the capital markets and commercial banking platforms.
- Responsible and accountable for risk by exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and following policies and procedures as defined.
- Ensure actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience while operating within the Bank's risk appetite.
- Active coverage and relationship management of over 30 financial sponsor clients focused on investing in the TMT sector.
- Lead the overall positioning strategy with key financial sponsor clients to position the bank as a trusted advisor.
- Collaborate with senior industry coverage and product bankers to prospect, pitch, and execute high-value M&A and lead financing transactions with financial sponsor clients and their portfolio companies.
- Generate engagements and revenue across the capital markets and commercial banking landscape, including M&A advisory, leveraged finance, capital markets, fund finance, and treasury management.
- Oversee and lead teams in the origination and execution of new transactions to ensure timely response and desired outcomes for both the Bank and client.
- Engage with the broader Financial Sponsors Group to drive best practices and coordination.
- Frequent business development interactions and meetings with clients.
- Prioritize and track calling efforts and outcomes while maintaining CRM systems to coordinate across the Bank.
- Business travel and client meetings are a core component of this role to foster client engagement.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- May include direct or indirect supervision and direction of the day-to-day activities of junior SRM or Bankers.
- Provide employees and key internal partners with timely, candid, and constructive performance feedback.
- Develop employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance career growth.
Education and Experience Information:
- 15+ years working with private equity firms in Investment Banking, M&A, capital raising, or equivalent experience.
- Strong track record for client relationship development and originations by generating unique and actionable ideas.
- Ability to lead and manage multiple deal teams at one time across product capabilities, including sponsor leveraged finance transactions from origination to close.
- Demonstrated leadership, client presence, and communication skills.
- Work closely with and develop analysts and associates.
- Bachelor’s degree is required, and a master’s degree is preferable (MBA or JD).
- FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses are required.

- Compensation for this position is largely incentive-based. Incentives are combined with either a base salary or a draw, resulting in total cash compensation.
